Safety Notes
Offline SOS is not an official emergency service. It attempts to help users place calls and send location SMS messages, but it does not guarantee delivery, GPS accuracy, emergency response, or rescue.
Limitations
- Calls or SMS may fail if the phone has poor signal, no airtime, no SIM, carrier limits, disabled permissions, battery saver restrictions, or low battery.
- GPS may be approximate, unavailable, delayed, or affected by buildings, weather, indoor use, and device settings.
- Text-to-speech is played locally by the phone. Android does not allow this app to reliably inject automated speech directly into a cellular call.
- False alerts can cause harm and may have legal consequences. Use the app only for real emergencies.
User Controls
- The app asks for confirmation before starting emergency actions.
- Emergency contacts should be added only with their consent.
- Pending local retries can be cancelled from Settings.
- Local SOS data can be deleted from Settings.
