The app uses this information to attempt emergency calls, prepare location descriptions, and send compact SMS messages with approximate coordinates where SMS is available and permitted.

Storage And Security

Offline SOS is designed to work without a server. SOS queue data is stored locally on the phone in encrypted storage. Emergency contact settings and local safety acknowledgement state are stored privately inside the app’s local storage.

Sharing

The app may share approximate location details by SMS with emergency contacts or listed emergency providers when the user confirms an emergency action. The app does not upload data to an app-owned server.

Audio And Video

The app does not record audio or video. For health emergencies, it may use the phone’s text-to-speech feature to speak approximate location details locally on the device.

User Controls

• Users can edit emergency contact numbers in Settings.
• Users can cancel pending local SOS retries in Settings.
• Users can delete local SOS data, contacts, logs, and consent state in Settings.
• Users can revoke app permissions through Android system settings.

Children

Offline SOS is not designed for children. Young users should use it only with appropriate guardian guidance and in genuine emergencies.

Limitations

Emergency delivery can fail because of network coverage, phone settings, disabled permissions, carrier limits, low battery, or inaccurate location. The app is not an official emergency service and does not guarantee emergency response.
